Marine Wildlife Walk

Welcome to our neighbourhood

We are so lucky to share our neighbourhood with a wide range of different animals– from otters and sunfish to seals, birds, and jellyfish. Some of these animals are regular visitors while others only visit the Waterfront at certain times of the year.

We have created the Marine Wildlife Walk with eight lookout points across the neighbourhood. These points are where you may get to see some of these animals as they go about their lives, feeding, breeding, resting or playing. Look around you – in the air, in the water, and on the ground – our wild neighbours are everywhere.

Respect our wild neighbours

Whatever we do on land affects the ocean and all the plants and animals that live there. You can keep the ocean healthy and our neighbourhood clean and safe for all by:

  • Reducing, reusing or recycling whatever and wherever you canI
  • Saying no to single use plastic and choosing long-lasting reusable alternatives
  • Cutting a loop or anything that could entangle an animal
  • Saying no to balloons and choosing festive alternatives like flags.

Help us make a difference

The Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation is a non-profit and public benefit organisation dedicated to informing and inspiring all to connect with and protect our ocean, and the natural world, through conservation, awareness, research, and education. We rely on your support to expand our programmes and impacts. If you care for the ocean and love what we do, please consider making a donation.

Tell us what you see

Be sure to visit all seven lookout points around the Waterfront to spot interesting animals. Share your sightings at the V&A Waterfront with your family and friends. You can even help scientists by contributing to the V&A Waterfront’s Project on the iNaturalist app. Download the app for free on the App Store or Google Play Store, and join the V&A Waterfront Project.
