JOY FROM AFRICA TO THE WORLD ACHIEVES CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE

Proudly and uniquely African, Joy from Africa is a showcase of sustainable festive season installations by the V&A Waterfront. Ditching the traditional festive tinsel and baubles, the initiative kicked off  in 2019 and is is a proud partnership with makers and creatives from across the continent. The SABRE PR awards, which recognises superior achievement in branding, reputation and engagement, awarded the Waterfront a Certificate of Excellence for the campaign. Read the announcement here.

 

HARAMBEE CONNECTS WATERFRONT WITH YOUNG JOB SEEKERS

The Harambee Youth Accelerator helps businesses connect with unemployed youth looking to enter the job market. Their free SA Youth Platform connects young people with job openings in your stores, restaurants, hotels and businesses.

MARINE WILDLIFE WALK TAKES VISITORS ON THE WILD SIDE OF OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD

The V&A Waterfront neighbourhood is a place where humans and animals coexist. And now, visitors can come and spot both feathered and furry friends who call our neighbourhood home on our Marine Wildlife Walk. Taking place across the precinct you’ll have the chance to see seals, seagulls and schools of fish in the waters. The walk showcases our contribution to sustainability, wildlife and biodiversity conservation, and also aims to highlight the important work carried out through our Wildlife Management Programme.

 

INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY RETURNS TO THE AMPHITHEATRE

International Jazz Day is celebrated on 30 April. The genre is well-loved by Capetonians, and jazz lovers are in for treat as up and coming artists from the Jazz Yard Academy and Graze Music Academy will be entertaining crowds at the Amphitheatre from 1pm. We look forward to seeing you here.
