Neighbourhood News Update: 11 June 2021

V&A Waterfront celebrates World Oceans Day

The theme for this years’ World Oceans Day (8 June) was The Ocean: Life and Livelihoods; and explores the impact of human activity on our oceans. And with the V&A Waterfront being a place of connecting visitors to the sea, we are keenly aware of our role and responsibility in protecting the ocean around us, while also unlocking the opportunities it brings. The V&A’s Ocean Cluster programme aims to do just that – by facilitating partnerships between all ocean economy tenants and other stakeholders. To read more about the programme click here.

Sportsmans Warehouse comes to the V&A

We’re excited to announce the opening of Sportsmans Warehouse at Victoria Wharf next week Tuesday, 15 June. Find them at Entrance 2 of the shopping centre.

The MTN and Nespresso newly revamped stores are now open.

Makers Landing revised trading hours

The popular food destination has updated their trading hours; Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Some of your favourites such as Pitso’s Kitchen are open until late – check their social media pages. Open next week Wednesday for Youth Day, trading hours will be 9am to 6pm.

Footfall update

June is traditionally the quietest month of the year, but the warmer weather did see us benefitting a reasonable number of visitors over the past week – with the outer lying areas indicating positive monthly growth as well. We are now seeing an average daily footfall of 30k visitors.
