28 May 2021 Makers Landing incubatees celebrate graduation In partnership with the National Treasury’s Jobs Fund, the first eight members of our Makers Landing Food Incubation Programme graduated this past Friday. After spending four months in the extensive programme and gaining insight from industry experts, the participants from food industry start-ups and small businesses will now have access to a commercial kitchen space, chances to take part in Makers Landing programming and events, and market opportunities. Click here to watch Alex Kabalin, V&A Waterfront Retail Executive talk more about the project and here to read more. Applications for the 2021 programme are now open. Youngsters try their hand at sailing* Together with the Little Optimist Trust and the V&A Waterfront, the inaugural Sailing Therapy Day was held at Battery Park. Children from the 9 Miles Project not only tried their hand at sailing, but also learned about water safety, ocean health and life skills such as independence and self-belief. You can read more about the organisation and how you can get involved here. *Images courtesy of Colin Fitch.
