Neighbourhood News Update: 23 April 2021

Our neighbourhood contributes to Table Mountain fire relief

A big thank you to everyone who helped in assisting those affected by the Table Mountain fire. Over two days, we managed to provide thousands of sandwiches and meals. Makers landing was used as a space for students to work, while Breakwater Lodge provided emergency accommodation.

Our restaurants also opened their doors to those in need of meals, and we worked with the Gift of the Givers to distribute donations received by the public.

On Tuesday, the MEC for Finance and Economic Opportunities, David Maynier visited the property to find out more about our combined efforts. Read his full speech here.

Footfall update

We continue to see an increase in visitor numbers at the swing bridge – indicating that even more office workers have returned. The average daily footfall across the property is now just over 30k people per day.
