15 Sep 2023 SA NAVY FESTIVAL DOCKS AT WATERFRONT Visitors to the Waterfront will experience active service SA Navy vessels docked in the neighbourhood from 23 – 25 September 2023. Join us in celebrating our naval heritage with interactive exhibits and captivating tours aboard ships as well as a submarine vessel, bringing the power and grace of the sea to life for visitors. The three-day event will also include educational and entertainment displays such as Precision and sword drills, Fire Fighting, Dog Show and SA Navy Band performances. Heritage Weekend entertainment lineup The V&A neighbourhood promises visitors a buzzing long weekend in celebration of Heritage Day. Entertainment will include musical performances, a braai event, Rugby World Cup screenings and more. All this from Saturday, 23 September. Here’s what to expect: The Biiig Braai with Ukhamba Beerworx and friends Ukhamba Beerworx, located at Makers Landing alongside the Cape Town Cruise Terminal, and friends have partnered to present a braai experience with a difference. If you feel like enjoying good music, traditional braai dishes and local beer while taking in views of shipping traffic in and out of the harbour, the day will be yours to enjoy. Join us on Heritage Day, 24 September and take in live performances by Black Magic, Bassik, DJ Mamba, and Twinzspin to name a few. “This occasion brings together the soul of South African flavours and music and promises to be an unforgettable day of celebration.
