TIME OUT MARKET SET TO OPEN FOR FESTIVE

Cape Town’s vibrant culinary scene just got even more exciting with Time Out Market Cape Town set to open at the Waterfront to the public on Friday, 17 November 2023 at 11am. The space will open daily at the below times:

  • Sunday to Wednesday: 11am – 10pm
  • Thursday to Saturday: 11am – 11pm

Included in the updated list of chefs is Chef Peter Tempelhoff – of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, FYN who partners with Chef Shin Takagi – of two-star Michelin restaurant Zeniya in Kanazawa, Japan both offering authentic contemporary Japanese sushi with Sushiya.

Kapoochka, founded by Chef Hitesh Panchal, a much-loved favourite at Makers Landing moves to Time Out Market to continue its delectable offering of Indian street food with a contemporary twist. Click here to read more

Silo concerts are back!

Join us at the Silo District every first Friday of the month from November up until March 2024, to experience the best of Cape Town’s musical talent. Visitors can expect to be entertained throughout the festive period.

Fuel your passion for coffee at Specialty Coffee Expo

South Africa’s biggest coffee expo is coming to Makers Landing on October 28th to 30th at 18h00.

This event is a coffee lover’s dream, featuring specialty coffee from top roasters across South Africa, including local roasters from our neighborhood, namely: Shift Espresso Bar, Moses Coffee, Rosetta Roastery and much more.

Attendees will also witness the Speciality Coffee Association of Southern Africa (SCASA) Western Cape Barista champs competing in cup tasters, barista, and latte art competitions while enjoying culinary delights from the local makers. Mug on over and get your tickets here.

Artist Alliance unveils new crop of creatives

The V&A Waterfront Artist Alliance, an initiative aimed at nurturing young creatives in Cape Town, has unveiled its latest cohort of creative entrepreneurs. This program, lasting 8 weeks and led by Creative Nestlings, will provide artists with a mix of practical advice and industry-specific knowledge. The program seeks to showcase and celebrate the artistic perspectives of these young creatives.

This year’s new group of young creatives includes:

  • Graphic Design: Carmen Jacobs
  • Illustration: Larissa Mwanyama
  • Music Production: Sipho Ngqayimbana
  • Animation: Anelissa Nkanyuza
  • Videography: Lehlohonolo Ndlovu
  • Fine Arts: Dumisane Mparutsa
