The initiative is true to the Watershed’s ethos of promoting local brands and offering a commercial platform and enterprise support. The focus of the incubator is to assist businesses with product development and business training to enable the possibility of their own store in the Watershed in the future. Find out more about the programme and all the businesses involved here: https://www.waterfront.co.za/blogs/watershed-design-lab/ What’s on in the neighbourhood: 11 – 21 March Cape Town Oyster Festival – Ferryman’s Taverns & Mitchells 12 March: The Cape 1000 rally (a tribute to Italy’s iconic Mille Miglia race) – Silo District Live at Makers Landing: And the Beat Goes On Waterfront Summer Tango Social Series – Pierhead Deck (outside Life Grand Café) 13 March Take The stage Series: Winston Siljeur – Silo District Live at Makers Landing: Deslynn Malotana Band Weekly footfall update Watershed showed increasing foot traffic numbers, moving 8% up for the week-on-week comparison and 7% up on last month. This is due to the increasing numbers of foreign nationals visiting the space. Across the rest of the property, we’ve been seeing marginal improvement with events such as last week’s Motor Show drawing visitors over the weekend. We expect the trend to slow as we exit summer with our daily visitor count currently at 44k people per day.
