11 Aug 2023 V&A awards top retailers for service excellence Earlier this week, the V&A celebrated 20 of its top retailers for service excellence at the One&Only hotel with premium diamond jeweller Shimansky being awarded as the Overall Winner. Winners were selected based on results from the Mystery Shopper research conducted by an external agency. The V&A uses this research to improve customer experience, measure tenant customer service performance, identify training needs, and make informed decisions that contribute to the business’s overall success and growth. Alex Kabalin, V&A Waterfront retail executive, said: “The V&A Waterfront is the heart of where people live, work and play. The Service Excellence Awards are about recognising customer-centric service excellence; which is ultimately about ensuring consistency in high levels of customer satisfaction as well as creating opportunities for our tenants.” Read more here. Clipper Yacht Race returns to the V&A for its 11th stop-over 06 November 2023 marks the return of the Clipper ocean race to V&A shores. The circumnavigation challenge is considered to be one of the toughest on the planet, seeing participants from all walks of life take on the exceptional challenge of racing across the world’s oceans on board a 70ft yacht. On this race edition, eleven South African crew members will be joining the adventure of a lifetime. Two of the Race Skippers and five Race Crew will get to experience sailing into their country, and five crew members will depart Cape Town to sail across the Roaring Forties to Western Australia.
