Internationally recognised chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa brings you classical Japanese cuisine with a contemporary (Peruvian) twist in this sophisticated and modern 104-seat Japanese restaurant. Nobu Lounge is situated in Dock Road in the V&A Waterfront. It features a selection of Japanese drinks, and sake and shochu-based cocktails in the upper-level Nobu Lounge. Also available is an array of fresh South African seafood seasoned with indigenous spices in dishes such as Sake Roast Whitefish with Jalapeno. Then there is the Chocolate Bento Box – a dark chocolate fondant with green tea ice cream and a sesame seed tuile. A sweeping fan-like staircase leads to the dining area and sushi counter, which is framed by a textured, translucent origami light that glides along the ceiling.
