V&A Waterfront Take the Stage series presented by MTN is a platform for emerging South African musicians and musical ensembles to showcase their talents at V&A Waterfront. Experience these emerging artists live for a series of pop-up performances starting November 2023 until the end of March 2024 which are free for all to attend.
Stone Ngandu is a Congolese singer, song writer and dancer who has been charming audiences in South Africa primarily in Cape Town since 2009. He has performed with world famous Fally Ipupa and Koffi olomide. He was one of the lead singers of the band Afrofiestaplaying for change based in the US in Los Angeles. He created his own band called Stone and bantu incorporating various styles including afro-jazz, kwasa-kwasa, rumba-pop, folklore, makosa and hints of latin music. He is based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Stone Ngandu has been making music since his childhood. His first album Coup de Foudre was released in 2016, His Ep The Mutation was released in December 2021 and his Single I wish to go back in 2023.
