Take The Stage Series presented by MTN – Hassan’adas

V&A Waterfront Take the Stage series presented by MTN is a platform for emerging South African musicians and musical ensembles to showcase their talents at V&A Waterfront. Experience these emerging artists live for a series of pop-up performances starting November 2023 until the end of March 2024 which are free for all to attend.

John Hassan, vocalist, arranger, composer, percussionist supreme and producer, fronts this vibrant  Afro-Latin band known as Hassan’adas. He his a highly acclaimed musician and most sought after percussionist across all the performance platforms in southern Africa. John has played on over 100 albums, performed on tours and at festivals both within and outside the continent, and has collaborated with local and international artists.

The band features, Mornay Hoffmeester on drums, Lucas Khumalo on bass, Nathan Carolus on guitar, Trevino Isaacs on keyboards and John Hassan on percussion and vocals.
