The Cape Town Philharmonic Wind Ensemble and its celebrated conductor Faan Malan are set to blow you away with music to suit the sunset and celebrate the start of the holiday season at the V & A Waterfront  – Handel’s Water Music, the theme from the Dambusters, the Parade of Tall Ships as well as a Ukrainian bell carol, Santa’s Journey and Leonard Bernstein’s Slava which requires more than just playing!

The ensemble, which had its debut concert earlier this year, comprises some of the best wind musicians in the city. Trained professionals, many have chosen to enter other fields but can’t do without playing their instruments with their peers and they can’t wait to show you why wind ensemble repertoire is uplifting and simply fabulous.  The musicians have been rehearsing weekly to hone their craft .
