The Talent Search development project seeks to identify and develop 1) new young talent, and 2) to offer local communities an opportunity to participate in the festival and its activities. The project is presented in competition format, focusing on the following genres: dance, singing, instrumental and comedy.
In 2022, the Suidoosterfees Talent Search was finally resumed, and today Semi-finalists battle it out for the coveted crown – not to mention the amazing prizes. Semi-finalists who were named last year in Cape Town and surrounding towns and regions compete for the following prizes: R10 000 for the overall winner, the best dancer gets a year’s free training at Dance For All, and one lucky candidate awaits a contract by the talent agency 33 And Me.
