Blake Hellaby is a young emerging African artist, making a name for himself across many musical genres. In 2013 he produced, mixed and mastered his band’s first EP ‘Hindsight’ which was signed to the Chicago based label “Chicago House FM’. He has since produced and performed on 6 more albums with international artists.
He has performed with the likes of Jeremy Olivier, Samantha Leonard, and Thembeka Mnguni (The Voice SA), Martin Zenker (Germany), Yvette Norwood-Tiger (USA), Frank Paco (Mozambique), Mandisi Dyantyis to name a few.
He was selected to be part of the Standard Bank National Youth Band, and The Miagi Youth Orchestra amongst many other bands which tour regularly. He has performed at The Oslo Jazz Festival, The Cape Town International Jazz Festival, Jo’burg Joy of Jazz, The Grahamstown Jazz Festival, The Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin, Jazz on the Rocks, as well as touring Burgundy, France and much of Southern Africa. He released his debut solo album “New Beginnings” in 2016. He has just released his latest and 3rd album “Another Perspective”
