Bradley Prince is a 23 year old jazz guitarist who was born and raised in cape town. He currently resides in Ruyterwacht. He just completed his BA specialising in music education ( jazz ) degree at UCT as well as his Post Grad Certificate in Education at UCT.
He started playing music in church at the age of 10 where he started on piano. At the age of 13 he fell in love with the guitar and developed the love for jazz. Throughout his schooling career he has performed at various venues in and around cape town and being selected to be part of a regional all star band 3 years in a row which preformed at various venues within cape town. In 2013 he performed at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival with this all star band conducted by Donveno Prins and Camillo Lombard.
In 2015 he had been selected to be part of the standard bank national youth jazz band which was conducted by Concord Nkabinde as well as in 2019 where the band is conducted by Afrika Mkhize.
He also performed at Jazz on the Rocks in tieties baai, V &A Waterfront Amphitheatre, Baxter theatre Big Band Festival, Boogielicious theatre production, Mossel Bay jazz festival, and also made the Artscape Youth Jazz Band for 2017 where they performed their own show at Artscape paying respect to South African musicians past and present. He also performed at the Muizenberg jazz festival, Champaign and Oyster Festival and is part of the band The Pedestrians who won a battle of the bands at Quay Four restaurant in 2016. These are just a few of the big events he has performed at.
He is currently part of a Cape Town base band called The Pedestrians and the Ramon Alexander quartet. He also free lances and does session work for artists and recordings in and around Cape Town. He is currently the guitar teacher at South Peninsula High School and Parklands College.
