Enjoy the month of Ramadan at the V&A Waterfront

Ramadan is a period of joy, prayer, celebration and plenty of preparation for Eid al-Fitr, and what better place to celebrate a time like this than the V&A Waterfront? With a dedicated prayer room, loads of halaal restaurants, and fashion and gift stores galore, the Waterfront is an ideal spot for all festivities.

Prayer at the V&A Waterfront

The V&A Waterfront has a dedicated on-site prayer room located upstairs in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre, next to the G-Star RAW Store, where the old post office used to be. The prayer room accommodates men and women, and jum’ah prayers.

 Breaking the fast

Did you know that there are numerous halaal and halaal-friendly restaurants across our neighbourhood? Enjoy iftar at halaal eateries such as Conscious Meat Merchants at Makers Landing, Saray at the Clocktower Building, or Steelies Fast Foods, Woolworths Now Now, Fisherman’s Choice, Simply Asia, Nando’s, KFC, Anat and Steers in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre food court.

Halaal-friendly restaurants in our neighbourhood include The Yard in the Silo District, Cape Town Fish Market in the Clocktower Building, and a variety of eateries in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre, including Baia, The Raj, Mythos, Col’Cacchio, Sevruga and Karibu.

 Shop Eid fashion and gifts

One thing is for certain: the V&A Waterfront has fashion for every occasion. If you’re looking for an outfit for your upcoming Eid celebrations, our neighbourhood is the place to visit. Stores like Woolworths and Zara have dedicated Ramadan collections on display, while Alysu, H&M, Michelle Ludek and Asha Eleven also have beautiful Eid-worthy fashion.

Not sure what to get your loved ones for Eid? Stores like Nomination, Nom Nom, Charles Greig Jewellers, Iloni Jewellery and Spirit Jewellery are perfect for treasured pieces, while Cashmere, AAFRICA and Carol Boyes have designer decor, homeware and accessories that make great gifts.

The V&A Waterfront team wishes our Muslim community a happy Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr ahead!
