Starting in the mid-80s, Ernest MacDonald pioneered scenic flights around the peninsula for tourists using single- and multi-enigined aircraft. Years of experience and an incident-free record contribute to the ability of Sport Helicopters to continue to please visitors. Now run by Ernest MacDonald’s son, Robert, Sport Helicopters has rapidly grown, and employs only the best and most safety-conscious pilots. The helicopters have a passenger capacity of 2 – 6, but larger groups can also be accommodated on request. There are several options for the adventurous visitor from which to choose. This remains an extremely memorable way to see the Mother City and the surrounding Cape Peninsula.
