Clipper Round The World Race drops anchors in Cape Town

Earlier this week, we welcomed the crews participating in the 2025 Clipper Round the World Race to our neighbourhood. This extraordinary global sailing event brings together amateur and professional sailors from around the world, competing in teams on a 40,000 nautical-mile journey around the globe.

After an epic leg from Punta del Este, Uruguay, the fleet have arrived in Cape Town, dropping their anchors at Quay 6, just outside Woolworths. On 11 and 12 November, visitors can get up close to the yachts and meet the crews before they set sail for Fremantle and Airlie Beach, Australia, continuing their extraordinary voyage around the world.
