Plan Ahead: Road Closures During the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon Weekend Please note that temporary road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place around the city and surrounding areas during the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon weekend. The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon 2026 takes place over two days, Saturday, 23 May and Sunday, 24 May 2026. The Peace Runs (5km and 10km) and Trail Runs will be held on Saturday, with the Marathon taking place on Sunday.
