Alison Harris @create_with_harris Alison is the Creative Director and co-founder of Imagnary House, a South African publishing house devoted to bold, original children’s literature. With a background in art direction and human-centred design, Alison has worked across a wide array of brands, bringing concepts to life. Her experience in advertising sharpened her creative instincts, but her heart lies in storytelling that shapes young minds.At Imagnary House, she leads creative development – from illustration to story strategy –ensuring every book carries imagination, meaning, and beauty. Passionate about championing local voices, she crafts stories that spark imaginative play while exploring emotional depth, always rooted in a homegrown heartbeat. Under her leadership, alongside co-founder and husband Brad Harris, Imagnary House was named Best Children’s Publisher for Africa at the 2025 Bologna Children’s Book Fair – a milestone illustrating her commitment to shaping a more creative, connected literary future for young readers. Carol Joy Williams @caroljoywilliams Carol is an executive podcast producer, composer, performer, and co-founded one of South Africa’s first creative audio agencies, The Stellar Effect. With a Master’s degree in music therapy and a background in composition and performance, she brings a rich, human-centred approach to audio storytelling.A multi-instrumentalist (cello, piano, voice), Carol has collaborated with renowned South African artists, such as Msaki and Gabi Motuba. She’s composed for theatre and film, and released her own music. Her passion lies in combining narrative and sound to create immersive experiences. Carol is now the executive audio producer at 2Stories, a content-led marketing agency based in Cape Town and specialises in branded podcasts, helping brands craft compelling, strategy-driven content that resonates with audiences. She recently completed a scriptwriting course through the SA Writers College and loves being in nature when she’s not in a studio or behind a laptop. Holly Bell Beaton-Reeves @hollbellb Holly, is a writer, creative strategist and for-fun stylist focused on building languages and storytelling for a more intelligent and sensitive world. Her work has been featured by CEC Media, Mission Statement Magazine, Bubblegum Club Magazine, Lukhanyo Mdingi, Lemkus and more. She is the co-founder of FAWN Studios, a speculative design and creative studio exploring the intersection of digital and physical futures, as well as the co-founder of B&B, a strategy space helping brands articulate who they are for a socially conscious, culturally fluent age. In her career as a writer, Holly has profiled some of South Africa’s most compelling creatives, counting her conversations as unique insights into the inner lives and outer expressions of cultural pioneers within our local context and the broader, global implications & possibilities for an artistically attuned future. Lindsey Appolis @appster Lindsey, is a Cape Town-based photographer and creative producer whose work moves across photography, film, performance and fine art. Entirely self-taught, his creative voice is rooted in the textures, contrasts and human stories of Cape Town, particularly the Cape Flats where he grew up. His exhibitions, including Aware and Memories of Mitchells Plain, explore themes of memory, identity and place. As a stills photographer, Lindsey has worked on some of South Africa’s most notable screen productions, including Noem My Skollie, The Forgiven, and Netflix’s Blood and Water. Lindsey’s work is defined by a deep sense of place, emotional honesty and a cinematic approach to everyday life. Chad Hanning @bushywopp Chad, aka Bushy Wopp, is a mural artist and illustrator with a passion for bold, colourful, and thought-provoking street art. Growing up in Cape Town, he was exposed to the vibrant street art culture and was drawn to the way art could make a statement, challenge perceptions, and unite communities. Garth Wareley @awehmigo Garth is a multidisciplinary artist and creative based in Cape Town, South Africa. With roots in graffiti and street art, his work blends bold colour, semi-realistic detail, and a deep reverence for nature, especially the fynbos biome and local fauna that inspire many of his pieces. Beyond the studio, Garth actively engages with communities through murals, workshops, and collaborative projects that use art as a tool for education and empowerment. His approach fuses fine art, public art, and social practice, often centring themes of heritage, resilience, and reconnection. Whether through public campaigns, commissioned work, or grassroots initiatives, Garth continues to build bridges between people, place, and creativity. His work has been featured in both local and national exhibitions and continues to evolve alongside his commitment to social impact and artistic integrity. #LiveArtBeHeard
