Our business creates handcrafted leather animals inspired by the wildlife of Africa and the creatures of the sea. Each piece is carefully designed and handmade in Cape Town using vegetable-tanned leather, a traditional and sustainable tanning method that uses natural pigments rather than harsh chemicals. The result is a material that ages beautifully over time while staying true to environmentally conscious values. What started as a small creative project has grown into a distinctive brand known for its characterful designs and exceptional craftsmanship. Every animal is individually cut, shaped and assembled by hand, giving each piece its own personality. From elephants and giraffes to sharks and whales, the collection celebrates the beauty of the natural world through playful yet refined design. Our creations sit somewhere between art, craft and collectible object. They appeal to people who appreciate thoughtful design, quality materials and
products made with care rather than mass production. Many customers discover them as unique gifts, while others build their own small collections over time. Being based in Cape Town also means our work is deeply influenced by the landscapes and wildlife that surround us. Africa’s iconic animals and the nearby ocean constantly inspire new designs and ideas. At the same time, we are proud to contribute to a local craft economy by producing our pieces with skilled hands and traditional techniques. Today our leather animals can be found in select boutiques and design stores, where they stand out as original, sustainable and joyful objects that bring a little bit of the wild into everyday life. Each piece tells a story of craftsmanship, creativity and respect for the natural materials it is made from.
