The excellence embodied by our winners is deserving of something special. That’s why we wanted to celebrate each win with a unique art piece as each individual trophy, each collectible – something our winners can display with pride. We partnered with Diana Lerato George, of Lerato Design Consultancy, to curate a collection of hand-crafted vessels – in ceramic or glass – where each trophy is something truly special.
We selected each artwork from a community of creatives. Some of the artists include Clementina van der Walt, who draws inspiration from South African urban and rural landscapes, and her apprentice, N’sele Adonis Mumpango, celebrating the passing down of skills. We also worked with Antoinette du Plessis, a ceramicist with over 15 years of experience, and Design Afrika, a creative collective curated by Binky Newman.
