This fresh spot will have you gawking throughout the observation-wheel trip of four revolutions. There are spectacular scenes of Granger Bay and the ocean, full-on frontals of Table Mountain and the Twelve Apostles, a bird’s-eye view of the Waterfront’s harbour and hub of activity, a great perspective of Robben Island and the Cape Town Stadium, and sometimes even showstopper whale and dolphin sightings. This is all thanks to the Cape Wheel’s new position on Breakwater Boulevard, alongside the picturesque Waterfront boardwalk. Exit Victoria Wharf at Entrance 2 or drive past Toy Kingdom towards the Table Bay, and you cannot miss the towering wheel that’s been with us since the 2010 FIFA World Cup (it previously stood opposite the kids’ play area and food court at Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre).
