Dad, we see you – Father’s day, the V&A Way

Dad, We See You.

The playlist in the car.

The same breakfast order.

The braai timing advice.

The parking strategy.

The way you say you don’t need anything.

The way you quietly make sure everyone gets home safe.

This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the men who showed up.

The fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, mentors, coaches and father figures who have shaped our lives through presence, humour, guidance and everyday care.

And because no two father figures are the same, we’ve curated a few ways to spend Father’s Day at the V&A Waterfront.

Whether he’s a culture seeker, a food enthusiast, a memory maker or someone who simply values quality time, there’s a Waterfront day with his name on it.

The main character dad

The one with the playlist.

He knows the hidden spots.

He’s always finding the best view.

And he’s definitely taking photos he claims are “just for memories.”

For him, Father’s Day is about experiences worth talking about long after the day is over.

Start his Waterfront day

How about?
Coffee overlooking the harbour, a ride on the Cape Wheel with stop at Atelier de Lunettes & Tagheur, pick up a well crafted piece at Fields or exploring Watershed’s local design offering and end it off with early  dinner with a view
