The Waterfront Duck is the country’s first all-in-one land and water amphibious trip and promises an experience like no other, seamlessly blending bus and boat exploration in a single vehicle. Named ‘Bella’ this is a bus and a boat in one!
It promises to be an awesome adventure for the whole family in the safe, comfortable and modern UK-built amphibious “Ducks”, skippered by experienced QUACKtains (drivers/skippers). Our onboard conDUCKtors (knowledgeable tour guides) will have you smiling and entertained with unique tales and interesting facts that will engage both young and old. The Cape Town Waterfront Ducks are completely re-designed modern vehicles, specifically built to comply with modern international and South African stringent safety regulations set by both road and water safety authorities.
The Waterfront Duck Co. trips will depart from the Duck Stop ticket kiosk in the Silo precinct at the V&A Waterfront. There will be multiple trips per day depending on the weather and time of the year, each lasting about an hour. The land part will take you through part of the city to discover Cape Town from a unique perspective, delving into the rich history and bustling streets before seamlessly transitioning into the serene waters of the marina and harbour – its history and modern operations – gaining insights into the marine life and ecology of the area. For your safety and comfort the Duck stays within the confines of the harbour throughout the water portion of the trip.
Get ready to quack your way through Cape Town’s highlights – all aboard The Waterfront Duck!
