Naartjie Clothing started out in 1989 as a local brand sold on craft markets such as Greenmarket Square and the Maritime Museum craft market, before the first Naartjie store opened in the Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre. It wasn’t long before some pretty famous people were dressing their kids in Naartjie clothing. These items have always had a unique look with fresh colours, original prints and current fashion styling. This combined with natural fabrics, a comfortable fit, and durability has helped to make Naartjie as popular with the babies and kids wearing them as with the moms and dads buying the clothing. Naartjie’s unique inter-co-ordinated ranges, which are updated with new prints, styles and colours, every 5 to 7 weeks, mean that there is always something new in store that will co-ordinate with other items bought in the same season.
