Discover Granger Bay

A new stretch of Cape Town’s Atlantic coastline is being opened up to the city. Over the next 15 to 20 years, this R20 billion-plus development will bring new homes, hotels, jobs, public space and a protected bay for swimming, kayaking and boating. A 540-metre seawall will help protect the coastline, while a new coastal walkway will connect the V&A directly to the Sea Point promenade.

Imagine yourself 40 metres above Breakwater Boulevard, in one of 30 enclosed air-conditioned cabins, with views of Granger Bay, Robben Island, Table Mountain, the harbour and the city skyline.

Granger Bay below you, Robben Island in the distance, Table Mountain on one side and the Cape Town Stadium on the other. Occasionally, a whale in the bay.

The wheel has 30 fully enclosed, air-conditioned cabins and lifts you 40 metres above Breakwater Boulevard on a 15-minute, 4-revolution ride. Safe, comfortable and offering one of the more unusual vantage points in the city.
