Discover Granger Bay

A new stretch of Cape Town’s Atlantic coastline is being opened up to the city. Over the next 15 to 20 years, this R20 billion-plus development will bring new homes, hotels, jobs, public space and a protected bay for swimming, kayaking and boating. A 540-metre seawall will help protect the coastline, while a new coastal walkway will connect the V&A directly to the Sea Point promenade.

South Africa’s only authentic pirate ship sails daily from Quay 5. Birthday parties, sunset cruises and swashbuckling good times for the whole family.

There is no more committed way to take a harbour cruise than aboard an authentic pirate ship.

The Jolly Roger is South Africa’s only genuine pirate vessel, sailing daily from Quay 5 with 60-minute scheduled cruises and 90-minute sunset parties. She can carry 75 passengers at sail, or 100 when moored at the quayside, and she’s available for full private hire.

For kids’ birthday parties, she’s exceptional. Packages include a trip out to sea (weather dependent), lunch with a party box, decorations, and a full programme of activities to keep young and old entertained.

For the adults, she hosts a sunset party cruise with live entertainment every Saturday evening in summer (weather dependent).
