TSHEPO is an African denim and lifestyle brand rooted in Johannesburg. It is shaped by the people who make it, wear it, and live in it. We are built on the belief that the best of South Africa is its people. It’s their warmth, honesty, and strength, and way of welcoming others in. TSHEPO exists to honour that truth. We take what we do seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We believe presence matters more than performance, and connection matters more than display. We don’t aim to impress. We aim to connect. Rooted in Johannesburg - in its people, its warmth, and its honesty - we craft considered garments for those who value culture, care, and belonging. TSHEPO was founded by Tshepo Mohlala in 2015. Raised by three women - his mother, grandmother, and aunt - TSHEPO was shaped by care, discipline, storytelling, and pride. These three women form the foundation of the brand and are symbolised in the TSHEPO Crown: three prongs, one form, held together by craft. From the beginning, TSHEPO was never about fashion alone. It was about dignity, identity, and telling the truth of where we come from.
