Discover Granger Bay

A new stretch of Cape Town’s Atlantic coastline is being opened up to the city. Over the next 15 to 20 years, this R20 billion-plus development will bring new homes, hotels, jobs, public space and a protected bay for swimming, kayaking and boating. A 540-metre seawall will help protect the coastline, while a new coastal walkway will connect the V&A directly to the Sea Point promenade.

Step off Table Mountain at 1 067 metres and abseil 112 metres down a sheer cliff face. Camps Bay below you, the Twelve Apostles beside you, and nothing between you and the ocean but air. Thrill seekers won’t want to miss this one!

There is a moment, right before you step off the edge of Table Mountain, when the whole of Cape Town is laid out at your feet. When you get to this point, keep moving.

The Table Mountain Abseil takes you 112 metres down the face of the mountain in an exhilarating descent. Below you: Camps Bay, the Atlantic Seaboard and the deep blue ocean. Beside you: the Twelve Apostles. All equipment and safety briefings included.
