This gallery in the Silo District is dedicated entirely to women artists showing exhibitions that travel to international art fairs and reach collectors and institutions around the world.
Founded with a commitment to women artists, the gallery invests in its artists over the long term through exhibitions, publications, residencies, international fair appearances and the kind of sustained collector and institutional relationships that turn a promising practice into a lasting one.
Located in Silo 5A2 in the Silo District, the gallery champions women artists through a rigorous programme of exhibitions, publications, offsite projects and international art fair appearances. Its approach goes beyond curation: mentorship, strategic collector and institutional placements, and a residency programme (the Unbound Residency) that gives artists time, space and support to develop new work.
The collection centres on a vibrant community of artists living and working in South Africa. The exhibitions are consistently some of the most thoughtful and emotionally engaged in the city. Entry is free. Come on a Saturday morning and you may well find yourself in conversation with someone who knows every artist on the wall personally.
