A new stretch of Cape Town’s Atlantic coastline is being opened up to the city. Over the next 15 to 20 years, this R20 billion-plus development will bring new homes, hotels, jobs, public space and a protected bay for swimming, kayaking and boating. A 540-metre seawall will help protect the coastline, while a new coastal walkway will connect the V&A directly to the Sea Point promenade.


Having just celebrated the opening of their newly revamped helistop at the V&A Waterfront, NAC Helicopters Cape Town were also presented the 2023 Helicopter Charter Company, Regional Winner: Southern Africa at the World Luxury Awards.

On November 2nd, 2023, Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) commenced its 2023/24 cruise liner season, welcoming 175 confirmed vessel arrivals that are expected to bring approximately 166,933 passengers to South African port cities via its commercial seaports.
The start of this year’s cruise season was marked by the arrival of Vasco da Gama’s maiden voyage at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal, which was voted Africa’s Leading Cruise Port in the 2023 Travel awards, an accolade that recognises the best travel, tourism, and hospitality brands in Africa and the Indian Ocean.

The last three concepts joining Time Out Market Cape Town’s curated line-up of top home-grown talents have been revealed ahead of its opening, which takes place on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the V&A Waterfront. The foodie destination will offer 13 kitchens, 3 bars plus a dedicated wine bar as well as a cultural experience – and has now revealed the three final additions to its all-star culinary line-up:
