Coming this December: 31 Days of V&A Summer!

Although 2021 has not been without its challenges (and as December sees the emergence of a new COVID_19 variant in South Africa), we’re taking a much-needed moment to reflect on and celebrate the positives.

It’s been a time of connecting in new ways and showing gratitude for the things that matter most – both to you, and to us. This year, our neighbourhood has championed local causes that are close to all our hearts, and we’ve collectively created several ways for small businesses to thrive, local creativity to shine and the people of our neighbourhood to find joy and inspiration.

This year also marks our 31st birthday and it just so happens that our favourite month has 31 days. So, to ring in December at the V&A Waterfront, we’re bringing 31 days of a V&A Summer.  Summer at the V&A is about Food, Fashion, Festivity. This year it also adds up to a month of summer spoils from us to you, incredible giveaways and creating magical summer memories in our neighbourhood.

This Summer, each of December’s 31 days will be filled with surprises. Look out for our Summer Scouts who will be out and about, roaming the neighbourhood capturing moments of summer joy. If you get spotted, then you get a gift compliments of the V&A. From free parking to V&A gift cards, caps, t-shirts, handmade goodies, and more! All you need to do is visit our neighbourhood and get spotted. That’s it!

We’re really dialling up the summer spirit with weekly prizes. All you need to do to enter, is snap a pic of yourself enjoying a V&A Summer moment (shopping, eating, our Joy from Africa decorations, chilling, whatever…) then tag us using #VandAsummer and #myVAjoy. You could win weekly spot prizes and be featured on our pages. Prizes range from lunch at the restaurant of your choice, to a tasting session at Makers Landing, and of course V&A vouchers. We’ve saved the best for last: you could win the ultimate grand prize: an unforgettable V&A Summer Experience.
