Why do I need to provide my name and identification? To keep all gift card purchases safe and compliant, we are required by the Financial Intelligence Centre Act of 2001 -(FICA) to verify certain information when a MasterCard Gift Card is issued. Your details are processed securely by Paymentology in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), and will only be shared if required by law. What if I prefer not to share my details? Because FICA compliance is mandatory, we unfortunately cannot issue a Gift Card if the required information cannot be provided. What information do I need to purchase a Gift Card? Please bring the following when buying a Gift Card at any of our Information Kiosks: Your original ID book or driver’s licence Your full name, surname, and contact number Foreign nationals: a valid original passport Company purchases: company name and registration number What payment methods are accepted?
