Dr Brauer and Associates is a modern, multi-faceted general medical practice with a special interest in occupational health and travel medicine.
For travellers we have a fully licensed travel clinic where we can provide all recommended travel vaccinations such as Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Rabies, Meningitis and more as well as equipping our clients with the most appropriate malaria protection. Our occupational health practice focuses on general occupational medicals with local and international companies, including working at heights, professional drivers, divers and offshore workers. We are approved to perform Diving medicals, SAMSA, OGUK and Norwegian Maritime Authority medicals. We are also the only approved facility in Cape Town to perform US immigration medicals.
Our general medical practice serves residents and visitors to Cape Town alike for any general health related matters, and we are able to perform blood testing, ECG’s, hearing and lung function tests. A pharmacy is located within the same building, which makes our practice convenient to visit with parking I the basement of the Clock Tower building (P2 & P3 underground parking at the Silo District).
Our practice is open and offers all services from 08H00 until 16H30 during weekdays.
On Saturdays only the Travel Clinic is open from 09H00 – 13H00.
We are closed on Sundays and public holidays. As we prefer to work on a booked appointment basis, we recommend that bookings are arranged telephonically on 021 419 1888.

Emily is a Youth Empowerment Expert with over 20 years’ experience in the space. Emily co-founded Amathuba Collective, offering extensive programmes to strengthen young people’s emotional and mental wellbeing.
Their passion to help youth to love themselves and grow into positive and confident humans has informed the V&A Academy approach. At the Academy she guides and oversees activities from an impact perspective to ensure we achieve measurable, lasting change in the young people and their hosting businesses.
Thabile in a seasoned HR Practitioner with a special focus on youth employment. She leads young teams and develops talent in administrative and compliance roles.
At the Academy she liaises with hosts, managers and supervisors to support the development of the young people and their ability to add significant value to their employers. She guides the administrative processes to ensure smooth and impactful implementation the Academy’s projects.
Brett leads the V&A Academy team and is responsible for strategic partnerships to create job opportunities for young people across the V&A Waterfront.
He focuses on enabling career paths for under-resourced youth in Cape Town’s tourism, retail, and hospitality sectors. Brett is passionate about supporting young people’s transition into the workplace and ensuring host businesses nurture their growth. He works to help businesses improve customer service excellence by developing young talent. Brett oversees the design and delivery of training programs, collaborating with employers, funders, and partners to create lasting, positive change across the V&A Waterfront ecosystem.
