Find your place in Cape Town’s working waterfront
Be part of a vibrant neighbourhood shaped by people, experiences and businesses that bring the precinct to life every day.

The place to be found
The V&A draws local residents, international tourists, cruise passengers and everyone in between, across every season.
Sixty percent of visitors are Capetonians. Twenty-three percent are international. And in December 2025 alone, more than 3-million people passed through, spending R1.4 billion along the way.
Every attraction in the neighbourhood has been thoughtfully considered for what it can offer visitors and the city. That’s what keeps people here longer and brings them back.

Taking care
Security, cleaning, waste management, parking, wayfinding and maintenance are all handled before your first customer walks in. Trading hours run from 9am to 9pm, every day of the year. And wherever you trade in this neighbourhood, your customers have the harbour and ocean as part of the experience.

Be heard and be seen
When Spotify Wrapped needed a location to wrap Cape Town in, they chose the V&A Waterfront. When the V&A Waterfront's New Year's Eve celebration was livestreamed to a global audience of 47 million people in 2025, every business in this neighbourhood was part of that story.
As a tenant, you are included in a year-round marketing programme that covers events, activations, sales drives and cross-promotional opportunities. Your audience is already here.

Investing in what made us
Did you know that almost half of the retail tenants in this neighbourhood are small businesses?
Twice a year, the Tenant Accelerator Programme takes on at least six small-business tenants for an intensive eight-week coaching journey. And on-demand business consultations are available year-round for any tenant who needs a sounding board or specialist advice.
Through the V&A Academy, you have a direct pipeline to trained, work-ready graduates in hospitality, tourism and retail. Seventy-seven percent of Academy graduates are retained by their host businesses.

A neighbourhood that works as hard as you do
More than 380 retailers already call the V&A home, from global flagship stores to independent makers who started with a single stall. What they share is an address that delivered over R11 billion in retail sales in 2025 alone, growing seven percent year on year. This is a neighbourhood with infrastructure, foot traffic, marketing support and a community of people who understand that when one business grows, the whole neighbourhood benefits.
You focus on your customers. We handle the rest.
