Africa’s Defining Edge

Every great maritime destination has coordinates that captains know. This is ours.

33°54′08.51″ S, 18°25′27.28″ E marks Quay 7 — the superyacht basin of the V&A Waterfront, at the southern tip of Africa, where the world’s principal routes meet.

Counter-seasonal to the Mediterranean and Caribbean circuits. On active Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Antarctic routings. Held within a working harbour that has cleared, fuelled and serviced vessels since 1860.

Beyond the wall: a vetted network for boatbuilding, repair, chandlery and spares within 5 to 15 kilometres. 70% of South Africa’s boat-building industry is based in Cape Town.

Arrival & in-port

The team that clears your vessel is the same operation behind Africa’s leading cruise terminal.

Named Africa’s top cruise port at the World Travel Awards and ranked among the 15 most beautiful ports in the world. Pilotage, berthing, customs and immigration: managed year-round, on site, without friction.

Bookings, berth allocation and billing are consolidated through Smart Waters. The concierge at Quay 7 is the single interface for captain and crew.
