This maritime-themed restaurant reflects Cape Town’s rich history and heritage, and brings you the best of Cape Malay cuisine. Situated at the Portswood Hotel in the V&A Waterfront, the Quarterdeck Restaurant is housed in an original section of the Breakwater Convict Station erected in 1860. Enjoy a wide variety of options, including tradtional Malay dishes, or bring the whole family for a Sunday braai. The ‘Chef’s Feast’, a three-course meal including the most popular dishes on the menu, allows diners to savour the unique flavors evident in Malay cooking. The Link Bar in the Quarterdeck Restaurant allows guests to sip on a cocktail or iced cold drink while enjoying views of Table Mountain and the magnificent garden. There is also a boardroom that can seat 10 people.

Join the Quarter Kitchen Restaurant situated in the Portswood Hotel for a Cape Curry Feast every Wednesday at 18:30 – 22:00. The Quarter kitchen is the only Cape Malay Restaurant in the Waterfront and being one of our most popular dishes on the menu, we have created a middle of the week Curry Buffet for you to indulge in an array of curry delights.
