Art & culture after hours
This winter, First Thursdays arrives at the V&A Waterfront, bringing together art, culture, creativity and great food for an evening of exploration in Cape Town’s most vibrant neighbourhood.
As part of the city’s celebrated First Thursdays programme, visitors are invited to experience a curated selection of galleries, museums and creative spaces across the V&A Waterfront between 17:00 and 20:00.
Participating venues include Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA), Gatherer, African Trading Port: Eye Witness Museum and WALL Gallery, offering visitors the chance to discover contemporary art, thought-provoking exhibitions and unique cultural experiences after hours.
Whether you’re an art lover, a culture seeker or simply looking for a memorable winter evening out, First Thursdays at the V&A Waterfront offers the perfect excuse to gather, connect and explore.
Make an evening of it
As part of our Where Winter Comes to Play campaign, visitors can pair their cultural journey with a variety of seasonal dining experiences and winter food offers available throughout the precinct. From cosy cafés and casual bites to harbour-side dining, there are plenty of ways to warm up before, during or after your First Thursdays adventure.
Come and discover a different side of the V&A Waterfront this winter—where art, culture, connection and great food come together after dark.
