Living at the V&A Waterfront means living inside one of the most connected neighbourhoods in Africa, with everything that comes with it: security, convenience and a view that never gets old.
At the V&A Waterfront, people come together to work, visit, create and belong. More than a destination, it's a neighbourhood of opportunity, supporting 30,000 direct jobs and contributing R45.9 billion to the economy.
A new stretch of Cape Town’s Atlantic coastline is being opened up to the city. Over the next 15 to 20 years, this R20 billion-plus development will bring new homes, hotels, jobs, public space and a protected bay for swimming, kayaking and boating. A 540-metre seawall will help protect the coastline, while a new coastal walkway will connect the V&A directly to the Sea Point promenade.

From 5 July to 16 August 2026, Marble Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront is hosting "Seven Colour Sundays," a weekly premium brunch blending open-fire cooking by Chef David Higgs with local artisan showcases. The event costs R795 per adult and features rotating weekly colour themes highlighting bespoke products from Watershed designers like Zizamele and Mia Mélange, requiring an R100 deposit to secure a booking.

Marble Cape Town, the landmark rooftop dining destination at the V&A Waterfront, added even more colour to winter with the launch of Seven Colour Sundays Brunch.
Thanks to the roaring flames of Marble’s signature open fire at the V&A Waterfront, winter weekends are about to get warmer. Seven Colour Sundays Brunch launches on Sunday, 5 July, bringing a vibrant celebration of food, music and family to the harbour-front restaurant.
Inspired by the beloved South African tradition of “7 Colours” – the joyful, colourful plates that define Sunday meals across the country – Marble’s Seven Colour Sundays Brunch celebrates local flavour and culture, elevated with Marble’s signature finesse.
“Seven Colour Sundays Brunch is our way of taking a much-loved South African food tradition and expressing it through the Marble lens – cooking with fire, celebrating bold flavour, and, here in Cape Town, drawing on the incredible produce and sense of place that make the local food culture so special,” says Chef David Higgs.
The series runs every Sunday from 5 July to 16 August, each themed around a different colour.
“We’ve taken everything people love about Seven Colour Sundays and reimagined it for brunch – lighter, brighter and perfectly suited to long, lazy winter days at the Waterfront,” says head chef Matt van Niekerk. “It’s still the flavours South Africans know, but with a fresh energy, a little luxury and our Marble twist.”
Marble Cape Town has also partnered with the V&A Waterfront and their creative retail marketplace, The Watershed, to profile local artisans in their campaign for the brunch series. Products by these makers are featured throughout the campaign creative to help bring each of the seven colours to life, and on the relevant Sundays, guests can view and purchase their products.
The dates, colour themes and artists are:
• 5 July – Blue: Chic Fusion
• 12 July – Red: Zizamele
• 19 July – Green: Cool Tabs & Afrographic Studio
• 26 July – Yellow: Beloved Beadwork & Afrographic Studio

The Seven Colour Sundays Brunch menu is designed for sharing, celebration and comfort, beginning with an individual arrival canapé followed by three shared chef’s snacks. Guests then enjoy a generous shared main course with accompanying sides, before choosing between two individual desserts. The experience concludes with a final sweet treat to round off the meal. Dietaries and allergies will be accommodated with care.
Each guest will receive a complimentary glass of Colmant MCC Brut on arrival, and each couple will also receive a tasting voucher to visit Colmant – a special touch to extend the experience beyond brunch.
Brunch service begins at 11:00, with the last seating at 14:00 and the kitchen closing strictly at 15:00.
Bookings are recommended and walk-ins are welcome. The brunch is priced at R795 per adult (excluding beverages), and R195 per child (excluding beverages). A R100 deposit per person is required.
