12 - 14 January 2024

JCQ PRODUCTIONS is extremely proud to announce that the Cape Town Jazzathon will once again take place at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre, from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 January 2024.

The Cape Town Jazzathon, which recently celebrated its 26th Anniversary in 2023, is the longest running music festival in South Africa. The festival is supported by The National Arts Council, The City of Cape Town and The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport. Also fondly known as ‘The Peoples Festival’, the iconic event will feature at least 6 performances daily, between 12h00 – 20h00.

The annual, free to public festival, will host mainly up-and-coming live bands, newly discovered talent, and as per usual, features a few surprise artists and Jazzathon Legends.

Now a regular feature at The Cape Town Jazzathon, the Sunday line-up is like prime real estate, with the immensely popular “Gospel According Jazzathon” always leaving one spoilt for choice.

“This musical formula seems to work well for the festival” says festival director Craig Parks of JCQ Productions, “We try our best to feature as many jazz related music genres at the Jazzathon, as possible. The upcoming Jazzathon Summer Showcase line-up will be extremely diverse as we have a whole range of music styles including Afro Jazz, Cape Jazz, Hip Hop and RnB, Reggae, Gospel and Neo Soul, and Straight Ahead all crammed into 3 days of back-to-back entertainment”.

Friday – 1:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Saturday – 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Sunday – 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
