Stone Age Sculptures specialises in selling hand-carved soapstone amulets and ironwood sculptures. Each piece tells its own story, and many of them have been inspired by the history of Africa. As the name suggests, ironwood is a very dense and heavy wood, which is difficult to carve. Soapstone is an old traditional material and has been used for centuries to make items that could be handed down through the generations. Stone Age Sculptures offers genuine African art to both the local and international market. All products are handmade using natural materials, and each piece is detailed and finely finished. Many of the sculptures are of animals, or historical figures, or symbols and each piece is unique. The soap stone used for the amulets comes from the mountains of Zimbabwe.
