Join Zeitz MOCAA for WOZA at home, an online mix of music, creative workshops, cocktail making and art-led conversation. The fun starts at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. (GMT + 2 hrs) on Saturday, 4 July on Howler. Pay what you can with our different ticket price options.

Did you know that your WOZA at home ticket is 100% a donation going towards bringing the love of art to children in South Africa.

  • R30 could pay for lunch for a child on one of our after-school workshops
  • R60 could pay for one child to join a school tour and workshop including all art materials
  • R120 could pay for transport for two children to the museum to see an exhibition

Blaqkongo’s soulful sounds will spice up your evening while you get busy making art and cocktails.

ROOM 1 – MOCAA MAKING

6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bring your old magazines and newspapers for “Hangin’ with Mr Konate” where you’ll learn how to make a mixed media wall hanging inspired by Malian artist Abdoulaye Konaté.

8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Gather all your DIY design tools and join us for an exciting zine-making session brought to you by Illana Wellman aka “Lani Spice”, zine maker, photographer, and publisher. She will be giving you all fresh tips for you to brush up on your zine-making skills.!

ROOM 2 – MOCAA INSIGHTS

6.30 p.m. to 6.45 p.m.

Meet the makers: Zikhona of O’live Handmade Soaps and Juditha Sakinofsky. These two will be talking about sustainable design, natural ingredients and the unique collaboration that has made them successful. These designers both feature in the Zeitz MOCAA Museum Shop.

7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sit down for a #MOCAASlowlook chat with Sakhisizwe Gcina, Michael Jacobs and Siseko Maweyi. They will talk about our incredible exhibition Two Together.

8.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

WOZA at home is on a Saturday night which means it’s cocktail time! The drinks’ gurus at Zeitz MOCAA Food will show you how to make cocktails with ingredients in your kitchen.

Links to the rooms will be shared closer to the event date. These rooms will be set up in a way that allow the guests to attend activities of their choosing.
