Russian based competition for young talent, the 67 Award Winning images by photographers from 14 countries, include the winning image by Justin Sullivan from South Africa. On show at the Chavonnes Battery Museum about the history of Cape Town until Feb 2019. World-class experience opposite Robben Island ferry.

Local photographer Justin Sullivan won First Prize in the Top News, Single category, for his image “Stand Off” showing a protest scene over fishing quotas in South Africa and in the category My Planet: his Winning Series depicts the heroes combating rampant wildfires.

Among the sixty-plus images on display by photographers from fourteen countries, is a poignant story by Grand Prix Winner Alyona Kochetkova, who captured her own inner feelings, overcoming her fear and pain of Cancer in the “How I fell ill” photo series. The exhibition also includes a bright and colorful story of twins by Iranian photojournalist Shiva Khademi, the heart-wrenching shots of the mass migration of Rohingya refugees by Mashruk Ahmed of Bangladesh and many others.
