Every December, children around the world dream of the festive season. Ten-year-old Naledi is no exception. Join her in this specially created theatrical production at the V&A Waterfront and witness her festive dream coming true.
Naledi goes to sleep one night in Cape Town, between the mountain and the sea, wishing for something special… She adores her city, and wants to share it with Santa and his special crew. Is it possible for such a wild dream to come true?
Naledi has a wonderful dream about the North Pole. She dreams about naughty elf that was sitting on her shelf, the dapper Nutcrackers, spinning snowflakes, Santa’s spirited hip-hop elves, and dancing candy canes. It’s a merry Christmas with all these famous names.
When Naledi awakens in her bed, her wild, whacky wish has become a wonderful reality! Santa’s friends have joined her in a festive celebration in her beautiful city, and she gets to show them what Joy from Africa is all about.
Naledi’s Festive Dream, directed by Lee Rath, will be staged in a purpose-built enclosed theatre that takes over the Waterfront’s amphitheatre for an eight-day run. Immersive and captivating, this venue offers a joyous experience for young and old, from the minute one enters through the doors.
Join us for this unique festive show – one created especially for our vibrant city. The energetic production is filled with music, dancing, rhythms and rhymes. It will wow and delight you as you’re transported through a dreamland of festive fun, where you’ll be wanting to celebrate and sing along.
This enchanting production is set within a purpose-built theatre over the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre, offering an immersive indoor experience.
