In keeping with the essence of the 100 Beautiful Things and to celebrate Youth Month, the V&A Waterfront has devoted 16 days of the campaign to showcase 16 young creative voices and emerging artists.
As an extension of this, the V&A Waterfront has added a special edition episode to our 100 Beautiful Things web series. This webinar explores the challenges and opportunities faced by the next generation of artists and designers as they find their unique voice within the South African landscape.
Sitting on our panel of esteemed guests are; moderator, Tinyiko Mageza, Executive Marketing Manager, from the V&A Waterfront; Jamal Nxedlana, cultural entrepreneur, visual artist and co-founder of Bubblegum Club; Haneem Christian, an analogue film photographer who was recently featured as a part of 100 Beautiful Things’ 16 Voices; and Sarah-Jane Boden, Founder and Creative Director of Soul Providers Collective.
This six-part webinar series forms part of the V&A Waterfront’s 100 Beautiful Things initiative. Each episode is based around the featured themes showcased as a part of 100 Beautiful Things – Designing with Compassion, Sustainable Design, Future Thinking, South African Essence, Simply Beautiful, and now,16 Voices.
The discussion will kick off at 12pm on 2 July and will consist of the 40-minute discussion, followed by a 20 minute Q&A session.
