Wednesdays Child perform original compositions taking inspiration from various genres of music such as Hip-Hop, Breakfast, Drum and Bass, Dub and Trip Hop and infusing that within jazz influences. Each member has a strong background within jazz, and saxophonist Clement Carr is currently a member of the Cape Town jazz Orchestra, which often tours nationally. The name of the band was devised as 3 of the band members were born on a Wednesday and their inspiration from other music genres helps combine their unique sound.
