<div class="ExternalClass433435E9E1494E8B8AC83FF6606E37B0"><p>​Hot new bands are going to burn up the stage at the V&A Waterfront’s Amphitheatre as talented musicians vie for top spot in the 2014 Take the Stage contest. Semi-finalists performing in preliminary rounds include , The Kill Heavy, The Coast and Cherry Vynil on Saturday 22 November, Matthew Rice, Cara Frew and Indigo Child on 29 November, and Morning Ms Dednam , Haiven Band and McCree on Saturday 6 December. </p><p>With no set music genre the contest has something for everyone, from rock to pop, country, blues and more. After the three preliminary rounds judges will announce the three bands going through to the finals on Saturday, 13 December. Contest winners will be included in the line-up to play a live gig at the country’s biggest New Year party in the Waterfront. They will also win professional equipment from Marshall Music. </p><p>Saturday 22 November:<br> 6pm to 6.30pm – The Kill Heavy<br> 6.40pm – 7.10pm – The Coast<br> 7.20pm – 7.50pm – Cherry Vynil</p><p>Saturday 29 November:<br> 6pm to 6.30pm – The Dirt Boxes and Paint Club<br> 6.40pm – 7.10pm – Cara Frew<br> 7.20pm – 7.50pm – Indigo Child</p><p>Saturday 6 December:<br> 6pm to 6.30pm – Morning Ms Dednam<br> 6.40pm – 7.10pm – Haiven Band<br> 7.20pm – 7.50pm – RJ on the MOve</p><p>Final: 13 December<br>Time  6pm to 8pm</p><p>All performances are free and take place at the outdoor Amphitheatre. </p></div>2014-11-02T22:00:00Z
