From art, décor and curios to fashion, fast food, and health and beauty, the V&A Waterfront awarded tenants in a variety of categories for their commitment to their patrons and the overall experience of the V&A Waterfront.</div><div><br> </div><div>The awards were based on the results of a Mystery Shopper Survey conducted by leading shopping centre and property research company, Urban Studies. Commenting on the overall results of the V&A Waterfront study, Urban Studies noted that the average service score for the property was the highest they have encountered by a South African retail property, indicating that the property as a whole can be proud of its service excellence.</div><div><br> </div><div>“Good, hard work should always be recognised,” said Alex Kabalin, Retail Executive at the V&A Waterfront. “Retail at the V&A Waterfront is obviously nothing without our tenants, who are vital to visitors’ overall experience of the V&A Waterfront. We wanted to reward tenants whose customer service was particularly notable for its quality, helpfulness, and commitment to meeting visitors’ needs.”</div><div><br> </div><div>While naming winners in a number of categories, specialist handbag merchant Lorenzi took home the prize for best overall service excellence, closely followed by French fashion retailer Louis Vuitton and diamond concept store Diamond 27 in second and third places respectively.</div><div><br> </div><div>“Sales assistants are particularly powerful ambassadors for the V&A Waterfront. We are thrilled to congratulate this year’s winners, who will set the standard for service excellence throughout the property for the year ahead,” said Kabalin.</div><div><br> </div><div><br> </div><div>Complete list of winners in the First Annual V&A Waterfront Service Excellence Awards:</div><div><br> </div><div>FOOD: RESTAURANTS</div><div>Winner: <a href="/Eat/h/haiku"><strong class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-5-5">Haiku</strong></a></div><div>First runner-up: Bukhara</div><div>Second runner-up: Ruben’s (One&Only Hotel)</div><div><br> </div><div>FOOD: COFFEE SHOPS</div><div>Winner: <a href="/Eat/m/myatt-cafe-and-chocolatier"><strong class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-5-5">Myatt Café & Chocolatier</strong></a></div><div>First runner-up: Mugg & Bean</div><div>Second runner-up: La Playa Café</div><div><br> </div><div>FOOD:  FAST FOOD & TAVERNS</div><div>Winner: <a href="/Eat/a/anat-falafeland-shwarma"><strong class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-5-5">Anat Falafel & Shwarma</strong></a></div><div>First runner-up: Boost Juice</div><div>Second runner-up: Royal Bavarian Bakery</div><div><br> </div><div>JEWELLERY</div><div>Winner: <a href="/Shop/d/diamonds-27"><strong class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-5-5">Diamonds 27</strong></a></div><div>First runner-up: Shimansky Boutique</div><div>Second runner-up: Kimberley House</div><div><br> </div><div>HEALTH & BEAUTY</div><div>Winner: <a href="/Shop/j/jo-malone"><strong class="ms-rteThemeForeColor-5-5">Jo Malone</strong></a></div><div>First runner-up: Twisp</div><div>Second runner-up: GNC</div></div>2015-03-21T22:00:00Z
